Grand Cherokee Diesel Introduced in Detroit

Ensuring Jeep Grand Cherokee diesel will present at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit in January. Mike Manley, Jeep CEO told WardsAuto yesterday (5/12) said that these variants go on sale in the United States (U.S.) by the end of the first quarter of 2013.

Machines used V6, 3.0 liter with an additional turbo, the same as those sold in Europe. There are 2 options, PS@4.000 190 rpm and 440 rpm or 241 PS@4.000 Nm@1.600-2.800 rpm and 550 rpm Nm@1.600-2.800.

Manley also ensures Patriot and Compass facelift launch a slight change in the other models that are presented next year is a replacement for Liberty SUV using Fiat base. Suggested renaming, especially for models sold in the U.S..
